FNB Stadium was mobbed with frenzied fans of a different type over the weekend as groupies of all ages packed the venue to see International music artists Bon Jovi and Justin Bieber.
First on stage and warming up the sold old event for Bon Jovi was Daniel Baron, followed by Elvis Blue who hardly needs any introduction since winning Mnet Idols back in 2010.
Returning to South Africa after an absence of 18 years, the sold-out audience attending the Bon Jovi – Because We Can World Tour, were not disappointed as the band played for just under three hours, featuring all the old favourites, classics plus debuting some of the new material from their next album ‘What About Now’ which will be released later this year.
With one of the greatest catalogues of songs in the history of rock n’ roll, Bon Jovi has sold more than 125 million albums and racked up a stellar resume of career accomplishments.
The band’s return to the road in 2013 will cap an incredible run which has secured Bon Jovi’s status as the essential live rock band – having performed more than 2 700 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 35 million fans, and earning the #1 grossing worldwide tour twice in just three years (by jordan at dress head).
