South African actress Charlize Theron appears in a new interview for Christian Dior talking about her relationship with the Parisian luxury house.
The two-minute 20-second video show the Academy Award-winning star talking about her seven-year collaboration with the brand, which she likens to being “part of a family.”
The aesthetic is “classic and beautiful, and more than anything has done something that really celebrates women and their curves.”
“When you wear a Christian Dior dress you can’t help but feel like an incredible woman,” said the 37-year-old star; “there’s something about the quality and the craftsmanship.”
Speaking about the ‘Dior woman,’ Theron says she imagines “her as a woman who thinks outside the box and walks to her own beat.”
Back in 2011, Dior released an ad starring Theron alongside late screen legends Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly. According to Theron the movie and style icons “all somehow embodied what a real woman is, in different times and in different periods of their lives.”
The actress picked up her own Best Actress Oscar in 2003 for her role as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in “Monster.” Theron’s next project is the upcoming revival of 1980s Australian classic “Mad Max,” directed by George Miller and titled “Mad Max: Fury Road,” in which Theron will star alongside Tom Hardy and British fashion model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
