Warner Bros has released a new trailer for The Man of Steel, the upcoming Superman reboot starring Henry Cavill in the title role.
The 2′30” trailer focuses on a teenage Clark Kent’s moral dilemma that stems from his need to hide his alien identity from his peers: should he reveal his powers to save his classmates when their lives are at stake? Michael Shannon is also featured in the trailer as Supervillain General Zod, who was previously portrayed by Terrence Stamp in Superman (1978) and Superman II (1982).
The Man of Steel will roll out worldwide in June 2013. Comic book nerds are already praising the Zach Snyder and Christopher Nolan tag-team as the film’s director and producer: the former displayed his comic book adaptation skills with Watchmen, while the latter directed the Dark Knight trilogy.
