Students Attack Police

Please be patient while the player loads...

Students at Cosmos Secondary School vandalize a police vehicle after a riot broke out where students were demanding a higher level of education. The school has one of the lowest matric pass rates in the country.

What, they want “higher education” and they are doing this?

farai

No wonder, the Matric rate is so low. Why are South African pupils so ignorant

Helen

How can people do this??? They have no manors!!! And then they will be the 1st to complain and say that they are not protected by the police… Shame on them

what has high education got to do with vandalizing government property first of all, sometimes it makes me angry to accept I am a black south african citizen. this behavior is totally unacceptable for someone claiming for high education on that matter. maybe they don’t even know the difference between high education and quality education.

MhlengiB

This is terrible. Where are the policemen and women? If they are not protecting state property which is paid with taxpayers money they should expect a raise.

Its amazing that all of the above people that have commented above saw in this clip what the editor wanted you to see and like those kidz above you insinuated what you think is right.

As someone whom deals with learner politics what is happening in this clip is to show how negligent are the Education departments all around the country, yes I do not condone this behavior but this is the reaction to the ignorance of those in position of power that are able to solve these problem.

I for one do not blame the learners for this action.

People should realize; in order to solve a problem, violence will bring you nowhere! These students must be forced to pay for the damages and must be expelled. Send them to Boys Town, let them stay there until they have learned how to deal with problematic issues. There is always someone more senior to go to and many other different ways to voice your problems.
DO NOT BECOME DESTRUCTIVE!

As a black parent I am very sad and if this is how our youth conduct themselves then we are for a big surprise. To understand all this one must watch James David Manning a video that can shock South Africa

They demand high matric pass rate. They think they will get if they vandelize the police. They should learn hard to reach the high rate because no teacher or police will write their exams and increase their pass rate. If they continue vandelizing they is horror ahead on them of being in the lowest continousily

kabelo

Well these pupils are not wrong because they are doing what they have been taught by their elders.

Here’s the link to Pastor Mannings speech on black people

I wonder what black South Africans think of it, especially with the pastor himself being black.

This is why I believe that it is important for the government to teach the youth about blac conscious movement and the philosophy behind it. These ignorant kids should be taught about Mahatma Ghandi’s philosophy. You tend to question the pupil’s backgrounds.

This is MY TAX money these little UNDISCIPLINED BARBARIC savages are wasting. discipline starts at home… BUT the police should be able to keep things in place!! With this attitude we are going down hill fast! Wake Up People!!!!

Our Tata Nelson Mandela did not spend years and years in jail for this…!It is very disturbing because some of us have uncles, brothers, fathers, mothers, sisters, sons, daughters and role models working for SAPS,their work is to protect us…and we thank them by throwing stones and bricks at them?please comrades…we can do better……!

We not surprised. This is the norm whenever black chimpanzees are involved. Do you see white people doing this? No ! Only monkeys. That’s why I say – just shoot the monkeys!
