Work is finally complete on the fastest train in Africa. Commuters will soon speed at 160 kilometres per hour between Johannesburg and Pretoria, waving at the cars often snarled in traffic along the highway that links South Africa economic hub with the nearby capital.
Iam always happy to see progress of such magnitude in África, we have what the rest of the world has always wanted,..vast amounts of natural resources. So lets keep investing in ourselves the skies the limit. If the arabs can get it right why cant we.
The opening statement that the train journey between Johannesburg and Pretoria travelling at 160km/h takes 40 minutes is incorrect as that would make the distance between the two cities 106 km, where the actual distance between Johannesburg and Pretoria is 54km. By my calculations if the journey takes 40 minutes then the average speed of the train is 76km/h. so what is fact and what is a lie ?.
I suspect that the maximum speed that the train can attain is 160km/h, which is not sustainable between these two points, so the real average speed that the train travels at between these two points is 76km/h
Please get your facts straights before sprouting rubbish.
No wonder ur name is that…..there are stop stations in between these two mentioned cities
