Swaziland Teacher Strike Results In Violence

Teachers in Swaziland were met with teargas and violence by the police during their on-going strike to demand a 4.5 percent pay rise. The teachers have been on an indefinite strike, as they became part of the public sector strikes that have been sweeping across Swaziland.
They were also joined by civil servants of the National Public Service and Allied Workers Union (NAPSAWU) and the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union (SWADNU).
