As Italy finds itself in the firing line of the European debt crisis, a new exhibition shows that sovereign defaults and economic woes are nothing new. “Money and Beauty” brings together works by some of the great figures of the Italian Renaissance, including Botticelli and Fra Angelico, and focuses on the ties between money, power and beauty.
