South Africa’s largest dance competition The Battle of the Giants took place at the Sun City Superbowl 31 March to 3 April 2011. One thousand three hundred dancers of all ages, shapes, sizes – professional and some not so – gathered along with their families to compete for points which would enable them to compete in overseas competitions. Director of South African Dance Teachers Association (SADTA) Bev Wood heads up the organisation of the competition.
