Malema kicks out a BBC journalist

Please be patient while the player loads...

ANCYL leader Julius Malema kicked a BBC journalist out of a press conference for interrupting him, calling him “a bastard and a bloody agent”.  Malema was addressing the media on his recent visit to Zimbabwe.

Nick

A quote from the Guardian in the UK: “There was a guy who lived in a country in Europe back in the twenties and thirties and into the forties. That particular person was a demagogue and he was allowed to rise because people didn’t actually take him seriously, and then eventually by the time he was finished what he was doing, millions and millions of people were dead”.

Nathan

WHATS YOUR POINT?

9 April 2010

David

Hi Nathan, the video of Mr Malema expelling the British journalist is a regressive move for international relations. Why do you think the ANC has criticised Mr Malema?
David

ALEX

Julias Malema…

You are a very arrogant, rude man.

I do not think you a the kind of individual who should have any power in South Africa.
You seem to be a hooligan who likes to wear nice clothing out of hard working tax payers money.

9 April 2010

sibusiso

I surmise that your behavior is oriented by an excessive secretion of monoamine oxidase A, which lowers the level of serotonin. The result of which may indicate possible anxiety, primitive mannerism, impulsive aggression and a disposition to profound retardation.
So comments an 18 year old. I’m younger yet smarter than you old man. Do try though using your brain as an instrument of thought and not your belly old man. Signed yours truely.

Nathan

Funny how the story in the paper doesn’t show that the reporter Jonah Fisher called Julius a joke. It’s subjective reporting! That brit got what he deserved!!!

10 April 2010

David

I think Julius was trying to joke when he said the journalist had rubbish in his pants. Some people thought it was a joke because there is laughing in the background. There is no joke in abuse of power though, and clearly this was a power struggle where it looks like Julius came off second best. What do you think? Do you think Julius came off better because he made the journalist leave the room? The reason the ANC criticise Julius is because he went too far. After all, Julius was not even born in the 1970’s, 60’s or 50’s. Julius was still a young boy when Madiba was released. Julius is a very privileged multi-millionaire in his twenties. I’m not a millionaire. Are you? Julius drives a Mercedes. Do you? Julius spends thousands on private parties. I’ve never been invited. Have you? What does Julius know about struggling? President Nelson Mandela struggled. He spent time in prison. What makes you think Julius is a person to be respected? What has Julius ever done? Tell me so that I can be enlightened. Do you agree Julius is a bit of a joke of a liberation leader compared to the late Oliver Tambo?

14 April 2010

Musa

As a young boy i took Julias to be the one to show us the better way of life, because we have the freedom the people we call our HERO’s fought for people like Madiba, O. Thambo n more others where was Julius at that time?? here he is now enjoying what others suffered for and abusing it. the question is WHY is doing this as a South African.Julias is just a FOOL i can say and a Coward. i hope they going to replace him with a better one to show us respect n good way of living.

10 April 2010

JQ

Julius IS a joke – Fisher was after the truth and Julius could not handle the truth, and it seems like you cant either. If you think a man like JM is right, then you are th joke as well…

Nathan
You are either blind or a huge blind hipocrate… Malema is suppose to be a grown up and professional in the international public eye. If he had half a brain he would’ve responded with some witty answer putting that brit in his place but he rather choose to act out of anger – which to me, is a sign of weakness…

9 April 2010

OJ Jail

I just believe that each and every individual has a way of reaction towards an action we feel is not right. When you are at your home and you busy talking but your child talks back, you can easily snap and slap him or her. In this case, Malema (even though I know, is not always right) is busy talking, the guy just can’t stop talking and hailing words like “this is stupid or this is a joke”. I mean how do we justify that? Was the journalist right to do that? Because if so, then we might as well justify Malema’s blasting at the guy. But if we all agree that what the journalist did was uncalled for, then Mr Malema owes the nation an apology.

I have read most of the comments and all we guys do is point fingers. Whether we like it or not, we are slowly becoming a shame for our children because we know so much about complaining and moaning yet, we know so little about finding a solution or a positive way of resolving issues.

Malema was both right and wrong, as a leader you do not attack some-one like that but at the same time when some-one disrespects you, in your own yard, you stamp your authority….

I thank you

Morgan

Megalomania is an unrealistic belief in one’s superiority, grandiose abilities, and even omnipotence. It is characterized by a need for total power and control over others, and is marked by a lack of empathy for anything that is perceived as not feeding the self.

Although megalomania is a term often ascribed to anyone who is power-hungry, the clinical definition is that of a mental illness associated with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

A famous quotation by Bertrand Russell gives his interpretation of megalomania: “The megalomaniac differs from the narcissist by the fact that he wishes to be powerful rather than charming, and seeks to be feared rather than loved. To this type belong many lunatics and most of the great men of history.”

So which is it?

tHERE was no need to include anybody else except for Julius, and I have first hand experience when it comes to be cursed by white afrikaners, so words like “JOU HELE M O E R, en die ousie wat jou ge-abba het… ” are exactly the ones which Julius himself is not allowed to voice on the media, so, by allowing this comment on the net, do we say then black and whites should start hurling curses on each other?

If i was that reporter, i would have smacked malema so hard when i walked up to fetch my mic. NO person, not even my Father, speaks to me in such a way, and no other person has the right to speak to another person like that – its deprivation of character, and Fisher should take it up.
For 1 years they have been doing what they want and how they want – it’s time we stand up and get rid of the foam!

Cde Malema now you went far,you have all powers of leading the mass but doesn’t conclude to overrule the rest with such dispect in the public arena.respect the elders within the movement, avoid racial division as that shall install the older dark portion of our country.veterans has fought for today state of democratical acceptancy with willingness to split bloods for the sake of liberating the country-many suffured, paralized and died while pulling down the monster of apartheid and now youth appreciate the commitment fought with such intolerance, please Cde Malema, you must preserve your political swing, otherwise history shall swallow you.for the sake of our movement, and as a loyalist of the movement and youth in stature,i humbly wish you would reverse the notion that other people are as “******* and bloody agent” as you thought.jonah fisher also question a wrong portion of the movement by going far in disrespecting youth at large.i will forever will to be obedient under your leadership principles provided you draw a line between now and future with caution.

This is Africa for Africans but even those whites are found in africa so we have to live with them.i know some want to fight the question is what about those innocent people who going to be killed because of the Cowardness of others who speak but never do?. i dont think “JUJU” will fight when those boer’s want to fight we going to loose innocent people.i tell my self to lead my life Jacob Zuma is not my president and Juju also.

10 April 2010

Devin

These are the typical comments and remarks which he is renowned for, disrespecting all people, acting as if he can do what he likes and this is what causes so many South Africans to leave or want to leave the country as we as South Africans are looked upon as inferior and disrespectful due to the ways government officials display themselves in front of international parties and other media forms which is completely disgraceful and disgusting.

Bring back apartheid. Bring back white minority rule. Julius Malema says “shoot the Boer”? In that case, I say shoot Julius Malema, Robert Mugabe and all their supporters. Outlaw the ANC. Put Nelson Mandela back in prison.

HI Mr N Balls & Whitey from LA, I am white, are you honestly telling me that the two of you and I could never sit around a fire or a table for that matter and have a decent conversation and jointly choose a leader who will lead this country to a greater future. My statement as a SOUTH AFRICAN is I believe that there are many other SOUTH AFRICANS and either side of the colour line in this country who could do a far superior job for SOUTH AFRICANS, than julius malema !!

15 April 2010

ROGER

@ White guy in LA

That baboon Mugabe is in his cage in Zimbabwe. He can’t go anywhere because of international sanctions. As for Malema, he gives his press briefings from his cage at the Johannesburg Zoo. We have to throw bananas at that monkey to keep his mouth shut. Can you maybe lobby for sanctions against our other monkeys in government to stop them travelling around the world and embarrasing us as South Africans with their stupid statements and appearance?.

If we are not careful, there will be a genocide in this country. He needs to be stopped, gosh! Why is the ANC so scared of an uneducated fat man who always spews bile. This guy makes me sick. He belongs in a pit latrine.

12 April 2010

You are behaving exactly like him, you dumb@ss – we don’t need people like you and Julius in this country, black or white!! You are a fool yourself.

12 April 2010

Papi

I believe that Malema had the right to discipline or dismiss this journalist as he has no right to misbehavior in other people premises or ANC House. The Journalist was supposed to listen to Malema and wait for Malema to finish with his respond to the question.

He undermined Malema & ANC. Zuma suppose to call order to the media as they are out of line in most instances. Take for example at the Jub Jub case, one of the students died while they went on strike because of the influence of the media. Again, Which law allows the media to interfere on other people private live seriously Zuma suppose to discipline the media which ever way not Julius Malema is the future President of The African National Congress. I don’t even want to comment on Helen Zille who does know anything about the Economy or Market Related issues she suppose to back to school and learn about economics before she want to be the President or lead by example & attend to poor Cape Town people problem before making herself better than the rest. Thanks!!!

12 April 2010

GARETH

How can you undermine a monkey ? A monkey is nothing to start with. You can’t undermine something that’s lower than snail sh*t on the sea floor. It’s like saying I undermine my door-mat, where I wipe my shoes. There’s more brain cells in the brown dump I leave in the toilet than what Malema has.

Malema is disrespectful, I mean growing up without both parents he didnt have anyone to guide him through life’s lessons. He is hiding something and he is so protective about that particular thing that when he’s cornered by the media with relevant questions, he defends himself in a very aggressive way, he is arrogant and he is also trying to fill a void in his heart,he’s an empty soul.

12 April 2010

lisha

It’s funny how people attack each other in the name of Malema, Zuma,ET and the BBC journalist, just shows how people worship other humans, for what, i really dont know.I dont care about all these people, but I condemn poor leadership, disrespect, racial discrimination, hatred and pure stupidity. Can all of you stop worshipping people you dont even know, I dont think they care less about you.

I’m generally disappointed at the type of comments that are made by my fellow South African citizens. Only about 5 comments were made by decent people. A good diplomat would have known how to handle a BBC reporter. A great leader leads the way and does not react in the way it Malema did. Malema does not have the qualities required to lead our diverse rainbow nation to the pot of gold that we are all hoping for. Surely our nation has someone better qualified for the job of ANCYL?

13 April 2010

all those white people who call us monkeys and baboons, why don’t they go back their countries and leave monkeys alone, what is it that chased them from their countries or its because they don’t belong anywhere where did they came from anyway? do they have origins or they are aliens? i think thry are aliens. they r so dumb they can’t even pronounce our names properly ask me how many blacks who are not educated but can speak english properly.

To all the people who have previously commented on this vidoe, please correct your grammar before hurling abuse at people you do not even know.
Nelson Mandela sat in jail for 27 years and came out preaching peace, yet here I see people of all ages and races filled with hatred and racism. I am ashamed to see fellow South Africans acting in this manner. Stop the hatred and perhaps this country will continue on its path of being the greatest African if not International country.
