Is Ja! Where’s the brasse wit the gaps – the toothless wonders?! The ouens burning ‘donuts’ while the kinners are gooi-ing… there’s so much they could have done for this video!

19 February 2010

Athanasius Kruger

The toothless wonders with the gaps are hopefully smoking buttons in Hanover Park and does not represent the whole of the coloured population. In case you haven’t read the t-shirt this is a Eldo’s vibe and in Joburg we do not gooi with kinners with gaps .

18 February 2010

Phoenix

Show Dem is a great song to get a party started and the video is cool and very well done for South African standards but i do get what everybody else was saying about the crowd being a bit small. To make it a great video there definately should have been loads extremely hot babes grinding in the open spaces, just to make it feel like more of a vibe. I don’t think that anyone has even noticed that all the people dancing are JR dressed up in different outfits dancing in different styles according to their character. Cool concept but it really could have been executed better, so props to JR but i think a little more budget from the label would have allowed them to do so much more. JR, you rock, keep up the good work and “MAKE THE CIRCLE BIGGER!!”

18 February 2010

T 'zzo

The track is banging for real! But JR shouda(woulda-coulda) shot his video up in Eldos or Eesterus or Eden Park(Awe honde!) for that authentic feel and credibility. The graphics make it corny.

18 February 2010

denver

cool song, there should be more south africans making songs like this… its the ****!!!

19 February 2010

OfancyMcGape

NIce song but what is it hip hop or KWWWWAAAAAIIIITTTTOOOOO #justasking

19 February 2010

Zuki

just to clear the air re the originality of the song, the “make the circle bigger” commotion comes from the “blacks” party/dance moves of “vula sekele” which blatantly means make the circle, what, bigger….
also i don’t know why everything should be labeled in this country, if its a nice song, then say its a nice song without any buts…i suppose you must also be strategic about these things if you want the by-in of the mass market which i think has been brilliantly done by the composers, producers and creatives etc…
with that said….lets make the circle beega..(with that coloured accent)
Happy Friday ;)

23 February 2010

Athanasius Kruger

Make the circle bigger to coloureds comes on about a decade before “Vula Sekele”. Its part of Coloured clubbing culture and has its origins even before the “burn” in the eighties,in which participants challenged each other in a dance off in the middle of a circle.Definately more of a coloured thingg

19 February 2010

Athanasius Kruger

Who is this JR PERSON? And were is he from?

19 February 2010

LALA

this song is off the chain, ok the chorus is, the song is about coloured but this oue is slaaning zulu also, not all bushies understand zulu so its hard to understand but pickups for using our club & party moves……this video would have been better if there where gang bushie by a housa or street bash mos, screaming “MAKE THE CIRCLE BIGGER”

20 February 2010

RIAZ

BEST song represent. We are talented and hip as well.It would make to no1 on the dance charts.

21 February 2010

Disappointed

This song is Ok, not The Best that SA has to offer though! Video was Pathethic, Hardly Dancing, no-one going in the CIRCLE and doing any Styles!
No Coloureds!
No Indians!
No Whites!
NO HHP!
Yet, WE ALL LIKE TO MAKE DA CIRCLE BEEGA!
And lastly, the Primary school Kids from Eersterust and Da Blocks used to say this Phrase: “Show Dem, Show Dem, Show Dem F@#$ing Show Dem” Ages ago before this song came out! So I would like to know where url got the idea from?

Anyways, hope You guys can make something even better than this soon!
Good Luck!
