This is a happy ceremony. Live and raw and quite entertaining… Rich material.

South Africans are fortunate to have a modern traditionalist in Zuma – this is Chief Zuma 100% Zulu – no compromize

I also like seeing the tailored suit president of RSA: Hon President Zuma

This whole gig makes me feel truly connected to my Africaness – thanks Mr President!!!

I also agree with you Modise, but one thing spoils this happy picture for me and i have to say it as a white film maker that Julius Malema and his evil intentions to oust Zuma is inevitable and it detracts the wonderful image this ceremony portrays

Somehow Julius just seems to sit in the background far far away looking down on this colourful event and I sense in my African bones something sinister is about to happen in the next 18 months and Julius will spoilt his scene we all witnessed today

I do not think it was within the public interest that Nxamalala should have chosen to marry another wife, after all JZ should have interestingly thought of the impression that he as the president of the republic will be sending to the enter society and ultimatetly the world, however I do know that it was within his right to marry as much wifes as he wants, but relevently this man is the president of the country for God sake, Comrade JZ is also a president of the ANC which by the way its a multi class organisation and further more the rulling orgasnisation in the country and this could send a very doubtable massage to the entere followers af the ANC.

I have recently learnt that Zuma is not a stratergiest nor is he realistic to the matter that he is the president of the country and this puts me at a position not to be certain of his comittmen in serving the nation as he aothed to all of us. Is his marraige, building of a new house , parties of his son that cost millions a sign of a self centered men that shows lack of credebility in leading the country. these are some of the questions that the nation should start asking, Let me not foll you I have voted for the man and I have thouhgt of his as a potantial great leader of our country, but however he is starting to show me that he is more found of himself than the nation he is leading.

the man has been given to much self centary attention by the world that eventualy might have forgoten that he is the president of the country, and that there are no more times for populist tendencies, one he goes publicly without facts and give promises to the poor unemployed of our country 500 000 jobs, where are they now, two he goes and give unfounded promises of the HIV/AIds pendamic and reality is that it is highly imposible for SA to deliver that retoric believe he just made publicly and what f***s me most is that he leaves here to the climate summit with a proper understanding that we should be indefence of our countries in particular Africa, the there he goes and become the populist he is goes in agreement with US and other facist nations while he had a chance to represent us properly.

I am still scertain that Msholozi can make it as the president but he must grow up, time for reality is here, and thisis no time for his fantacy while he was cow heading to tranform the world on an idialst manner…

Zuma stop these offencive roles that you are taking in relation of you good sake….

I rest my case.

Why does the times website insist on calling the bride Thobeka ‘MADIBA’ when her last name is ‘MABHIDJA’. This is very confusing which one is it really? Clarity please!

6 January 2010

Rethabile

Mabhidja it’s her mother’s Surname while Madiba it’s her Father’s surname so the bride is Thobeka Madiba not Mabhidja.Just misunderstanding

I believe that poligamy is a freedom of choice for any culture! There is absolutly nothing wrong with Mr President marrying multiple wifes.

i just hope that his recent marriage was the LAST one, i think its enough.

i wonder how often does he visit the old wife Makhumalo… I suppose the latest wife must be a heat to him lately, also the 2nd one. My gutt tells me there might be another one joining soon.

Can Zuma please restore the dignity of the Swazi princess. It really is not funny anymore! He embarrased her in 2008 when he married MaNtuli, now he does it again by marrying MaMabhida. Honestly

Read Genesis Chapter 25 verse 1 only and realize that the President has,is and will never be wrong before GOD.

ok, fine this guy can have as many wives as he wants.

But the country should not pay them all. Legally he can only be married to one wive. I will need some clarity on that. And therefore legally the country should only pay for one in this case it should be the “first lady” and their kids that they “spawn” together.

I zulu can only marry as much wives as he can afford. No where does it say to what the country can afford.

This is utter nonsense. I am disgusted at my country. I would never vote ANC.

i think JZ he is on a rite track as his culture said a man can marry many wifes as he can,and stoping him on doing so,definatelly it would mean we are undermining his culture.
