War of words over Mbeki

Please be patient while the player loads...

ANC Youth League President Julius Malema has defended former President Thabo Mbeki’s handling of the HIV/Aids pandemic. This comes after Young Communist League National Secretary, Buti Manamela, called for Mbeki to be charged with genocide for all the HIV/Aids deaths that occurred while he was in office.

firstly i like to remind these two gentlemen whether they still remember that jacob zuma as the then deputy president of south africa under mbeki led government was chairperson of national aids council

as for the lot of noise they make about mbeki,i advice them to rechannel their energy so that it can boost them academically.Mbeki was elected anc president by the anc members and mbeki implemented the anc policies ,of which most of them failed.therefore u (malema and manamela) cannot single out an individual for the failures of the anc policies.

so please leave mbeki alone ,mbeki is no one’s ball, toy or property.mbeki deserve to enjoy his retirement and also has right to speak his mind.

ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT MKHULU

I’m sure Julius Malema is the last person Mbeki wants jumping to his defence.

We won’t allow our former President Thabo to be charged for genocide. As long as we are still living in this country, we will never allow such a thing happen to our country. Looking at the case of South Africa, there were no mass killings by the previous government which some of the leaders are blaming Former President Thabo Mbeki. One can argue that people must stop pointing fingers to former President Thabo Mbeki. They need to have a mandate and start to focus on the issues and challenges which are facing the youth of South Africa. We will against those who want to push their own political agenda by saying that former President Thabo Mbeki must be charged for genocide. One can point fingers to the YCL for the ways they reacting to the public and making noise for the things that it will never happen. We won’t even agree with them when they are misleading people by saying irreverent things to our masses. We can’t allow those people to charge President Thabo Mbeki. One can agree with President of ANCYL when “he said that former President Thabo Mbeki might have made mistakes”. We totally disagree and oppose those who want to charge our former leaders and that will never happen to charge President Thabo for the genocide.
