New ‘White Zulu’ in town
There’s a new “White Zulu” in town. 17-year-old David Jenkins is a self taught maskandi music and guitar player. He recently featured on SA’s Got Talent. Times LIVE caught up with this young, gifted musician. Watch the video.

Well done and congratulations to David ! Such talent and he is blessed to be able to emulate Johnny Clegg and Phusa Kemisi. It is extremely difficult to play maskanda music which he is able to do very well but also to sing in isiZulu. I am in awe of his ability and will be the first to purchase his CD ( if it is available ). I believe he will go a long way and is such an example to all young people of our diverse country, setting an example how we can respect one another’s cultures and traditions.
