If the councillors aren’t performing, vote them out in 2011.

Tembisa is the only township in Gauteng that’s not being taken seriously by the authorities in power. The Mayor has never bother to come to the people to hear first hand what the problems are. Firstly, Tembisa is the only township in the whole of Ekurhuleni, that is buying electricity from the council when all others get theirs directly form Eskom. We have been asking for a change so that we’re all in the same system as others, but our efforts to have these maladies addressed are always rebuffed by the powers that be. People are victimised through this system and yet they pay for their services. Tembisa is the dirtiest in gauteng and yet we pay for our services that are never delivered. Enough is enough…if I demands are not met soon, Tembisa we’ll go the route of Sakhile, which will look more like a picnic when this township erupts into vioelence…which not want some of us want.

@Don, The government is trying, the least you can do is appreciate the effort and the positive gesture shown by the president. South Africa as a whole need to be taken seriously not only Tembisa, so don’t be selfish. We have people in rural areas who have nothing, they aren’t making threats like you do cause all they have come out of their sweat. They don’t have clinics to destroy in the name of “protesting”, so my brother stop making threats. We know that the previous administration made mistakes and no one threatened them, if you want to be heard STOP electing useless leaders! It is your fault as much as it is theirs. We won’t allow you or those who think like you to turn this country into a banana republic!
