I think Julius Malema is right when he said that Professor Jonathan Jansen must not go for the sake of transformation in our institution of Higher of Learning. Because if he is removed from his position as Vice Chancellor of the University of Free State who will take over. The problem that will arise similar to this case of Free State will be the same that the Vice Chancellor must be removed from his position. Jansen is acting as a father to those students regardless of their colour of their skin . The question that i will pose is that if, for example those students were blacks, what was going to happen. I think it won’t be fair for them to be chased out of the University because they are white. They need disciplinary hearing so that they can apologise. I think they need to be given a second chance and they won’t do it again. when I quote from Former President Nelson Mandela’s words “I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons (both blacks and whites) live together in harmony and with equal opportunities ( for all blacks and whites south africans not based on race, gender and ***). It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die”. But we need to fight against racism which is existing in our society, workplace, and within our institution of “Higher Learning”. I think they need to know what mean by spirit of ‘ubuntu’ (umuntu nge muntu ngabantu). Away with racism away.

And who exactly is the enemy? Whites? This man is the biggest racist in South Africa and makes a mockery of equality and a race free South Africa.

I do not agree with the students behaviour and feel a suitable punishment should be given. However, we spend more time on this political high jinx than when white farmers are murdered because they are white. Where is Malema when that happens?

When the ANC starts living what it preaches our country will be strong. For now its all hypocrisy and its does not see it is no different to the old National Party.

Dear Nditsheni, I sort of like your comment but it goes a bit further. There is a lot being said about the Reitz 4, both from white and black and it is ok but:
The day we can all stand up against wrong doings, then we might get somewhere.
Why the big rising up against the Reitz 4 but nothing is said about the alledged followig insidents:
1) Cops killing an innocent woman in her car.
2) Cops raping a woman whose car has been pulled off the road,
3) Boiling water being poured down someones ear.
4) Foot soles being cut off.
5) How many people are being murdered daily.
6) The Kovsie medical faculty, once the best, being degraded due to lack of funds.

You can put the race card next to each of the above and do the count yourself, would anyone rather eat “urinated” food than going through 1) to 5) above?

Please in all kindness, lets stand together against all wrong doings taking place. Then there is the government, but that is for another day.

I’m not sure what makes you say people are quite about a cop killing a baby, unless you are ignorant of the investigations underway around the issue, so corrective measures can be taken.

The problem of crime and murders affects us all, not only white farmers, that’s why it’s encouraging that the government is taking a harsh stance on crime and criminals.

The Reitz4 racidst incident against african women, cannot be ignored, because it is part of the crime that we are trying to rid the society of. Those boys must be disciplined finish and klaar.
