There was a minor skirmish at Sakhile township in Standerton on Tuesday, where residents barricaded roads with stones and tires. But the situation was relatively calm compared to Monday when members of the community petrol bombed a municipal official’s house. The protests were sparked off by a leaked report implicating several municipal officials of financial mismanagement, fraud and corruption.

This matter has been dragging for too long. these officials should be taken to task. the poorest of the poor are the ones suffering whilst they are driving around in big cars. thorough investigation on issuing of tenders, appointments, allocation of stands, salaries, and service delivery in general should be conducted. but before that suspend all suspects with immediate effect. LET SOMEONE DO SOMETHING BEFORE THIS SPREAD TO THE NEIGHBOURING TOWNSHIP. THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL BE IN TURMOIL!!!!!

We need help pls Mr Zuma !!! our town is going to go up in fire if something is not done, get rid of her ladyship that is mismanaging this town, and send her drunken trigger happy bodyguard “traffic officer” packing with her . As a white South African I have to stand with the people they are fighting for there rights and should be heard, but because of a lack of interest from the government innocent men women and children are getting hurt. This is a week old video come and have a look what it looks like today, we can’t go into town, we had to collect out children from school out of fear of them getting hurt ,
