The Not In Our Lifetime initiative is the brainchild of Yfm’s Lee Kasumba and Skwatta Kamp’s Slikour. The campaign was set up in response to the recent xenophobic attacks that swept across the country in May. Dan Calderwood went to the launch of the event to find out more.
I think its a very good initiave that you guys did you knw, using what you do(music) to respond to what embarrassed most of us who call ourselves proudly South Africans.keep it up guys just knw one thing you have many people’s support including me.
I applauded you for this initiative in fighting against the inexcusable act of marginalizing our fellow Africans. Jabba was right this morning (on Breakfast with Thomas, Metro) “this initiative is not an opportunity for celebrities to become heroes” It is an opportunity for celebrities to use their influential voices to educate the ignorant! In the words of Norman Vincent Peale “Throw back the shoulders, let the heart sing, let the eyes flash, let the mind be lifted up, look upward and say to yourself… Nothing is impossible!” Combating Xenophobia is POSSIBLE!!!!!
