Ficksburg protesters wanted water but they got blood
About 500 protesters yesterday gathered outside the Ficksburg Magistrate’s Court demanding that immediate action be taken against the six cops who stand accused of allegedly killing activist and teacher Andries Tatane during a service delivery strike. The six officers are accused of beating Tatane with batons and shooting him at close range with rubber bullets in an attacked which was aired on national television. Inside the courtroom Tatane’s widow Rose wept for her deceased husband.
