Pulitzer Prizes for Photography
The 2009 Pulitzer Prizes for photography were awarded to Patrick Farrell of the Miami Herald and The New York Times’ Damon Winter. Farrell won for what judges called ‘provocative, impeccably composed images of despair’ of the humanitarian disaster after Hurricane Ike. Winter won for his ‘pictures deftly capturing multiple facets’ of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
