Sisulu has defended a decision to select Tony Yengeni for a defence review committee
Defence and Military Veterans Minister, Lindiwe Sisulu, has told a press conference in Parliament that Tony Yengeni is “one of the ablest” people she could find to overhaul defence policy. Yengeni is a member of the new 10 person defence review committee, presented yesterday by Sisulu at a press conference in parliament. He served time in prison for fraud after being convicted of accepting a cut price luxury car from an arms dealer while he was the chairperson of Parliament’s Joint Committee on Defence.
