Simphiwe Dana has an artistic soul anyone who is able to listen to her sounds should be an artistic human bieng i love her music because it brings the true meaning of art. Kulture Noir to is a great album that i will recommed to anyone who loves art from track one to the last, my favourite is track no. 7 Undishiyile feat Mthwakazi i would love to see a live perfomance of this song one day. Sphiwe u r the BEST dadewthu…….

Nathan

I stand under correction, but i’ve listened to the albulm, and realised that she does not utter a single English word on any on the tracks in her latest album.
I am very impressed by that, and by the music as well.

Boikanyo

Ja! i guess for those who are depressed and want to reminisce it will be appealing. I think the genre is somewhat onesided in that it caters for a certain group unless you’re multi-lingual. I would imagine a Dana fan somewhere in the North West who doesn’t understand a single xhosa word. anyway good luck dana-fans.

@ Nathan, in track no 2 towards the end she croons “deeper…thats how deeper we go….tshini uzele mamjoli…”. her love for art is seen from the pages of the album to the musicians she uses. i respect Fana Zulu and Kunle….amazing guitarists! i am feeling the backing vocalist in this album (their voices are somehow very spiritual).
i choose to disagree with BOIKANYO. I can relate to Angelique Kidjo and Khad Janin and i dont understand their language. i dedicate Agbalagba (from Kidjo latest OYO) to you my sister.

can u guys imagine a calloboration of Simphiwe Dana and Pops Mohammed……!

Thanks for another informative website. Where else could I get that type of info written in such an ideal way? I have a project that I’m just now working on, and I have been on the look out for such information.
