Zubeida Jaffer: Do not compare wa Afrika arrest to Apartheid era
Journalist Zubeida Jaffer, who was regularly arrested, detained and even tortured during the Apartheid era, wants to warn people against likening the arrest of Mzilikazi wa Afrika with days gone by. Feeling sick to her stomach, she expresses in our audio, how she feels about the situation and recollects her days working in fear of death, as a 21-year-old woman of colour.

Of course this has nothing to do with racism. it is this leadership of ours that fears to be exposed when having done something of a bullsh#t kind.
Fact: Our leadership is full of money-greedy bunch of fools.

I do not agree that just because during Apartheid, journalists of color did not have rights as citizens, Wa-Afrika’s arrest should not be likened with Apartheid -era tactics. History is told so that it does not repeat itself and while the context is different, the majority is in power, we cannot turn a blind eye to the apparent abuse of that power which was givewn by the people to those in public service. We cannot afford to be cautious of warning the leaders we elected when they begin to undermine the freedom they fought for. This is a very slippery slope argument, if we say it was different what are we saying? Are we saying just because it is a constitutional democracy do we say such actions can be excused? That time journalists feared death but should we wait until one actually dies to react? This sounds like a good statement but too cautious and perhaps too watered down. Given our past, we need to react strongly to any suggestions that the Apartheid era tactics are rearing their ugly heads.

Mme, you are addressing people here that have an agenda…not that they do not know that they are not supposed to compare this to the past, they know…
The only thing they underestimate is the ability of the same readers to see right through their lies and deceitful behavior that is meant to ultimately reverse the gains of our democracy…in favor of the old white odder.
They, themselves are no different from the same system they accuse the government of becoming, they have actively sought to make terms corruption, incompetent synonymous with black people and Africans in particular, this with the help of them that not long ago were regarded as being third class citizens of this country…
Yes corruption is bad, but is it inherently African….
Yes dictatorship is bad, but is it inherent in African people…
Unsurprisingly there is no difference between their actions and those of the DA’s Helen Zille, who has the audacity to rubbish the findings of the Human Rights Council as ANC influenced and thus she will not adhere to their recommendations (whilst she preaches protection of the constitution from the ANC) – did this raise concerns in the same media that she is undermining a constitutionally created body and thus her actions are unconstitutional – NO…
I hear you say, you’re sick…but I am so sick of these people to an extend that even when I can see them being harmed or needing someone to call emergency services to save their lives, I will just drive on and leave them there to die…
They are hell bent on causing conflict in SA like they did in Zimbabwe…
To hell with them

My brother recommended I might like this website. He was once entirely right. This submit truly made my day. You cann’t imagine just how much time I had spent for this information! Thank you!

Another great site to earn money using your skills just like social media marketing and search engine optimization is odesk.com. At first, you might be confused and be frustrated with their system but frankly, you’ll thank them in the future. They have this feature that would record all of your mouse and keyboard activity as well as your screen. In this way, whenever you work, you will definitely get paid and for the employers side you’re really paying that person to work and not doing monkey business.
