ANC Youth League are spoilt brats

Please be patient while the player loads...

Pieter-Dirk Uys says the leadership of the ANC Youth League are spoilt brats and should be ignored. Zanele Sabela reports.

This is true. The media is being used as a very effective megaphone by Malema.

Dear Mr Uys, everytime you say something you hit the nail on the head. Well said. He is using the media to feed his attention-seeking personality. I don’t think however, that he is important at all. I agree that he should be ignored until he has learned to treat people with courtesy. It costs nothing to be courteous. That is how we were brought up. He is in my opinion, not an asset to the ANC at all. He is becoming their stumbling block, just like the president. Disrespectful and unmindful of the people of South Africa. Nothing to be proud of.

It’s hard to ignore a brat who is scamming millions.

Well, it seems a lot of people are keen to sneak in a bit of attention for themselves by riding the Malema Idiocy Bus. If ignoring brats is the advice given, surely the giver ought to have taken the advice himself?

I see in him a second Bob Mugabe in making, and old Bob is a good example of how one person can actually screw up a whole country.

Just listen to type of talk – nationalization of mines, whites are to blame for everything that is wrong in the country, blablabla… it is the same rubbish, but the common people lap it up.

This little fat boy should be stopped.

The reason why Julius gets so much attention is because he dares to say what a lot of black people are thinking and feeling but do not have the guts to say. He also articulates what most white people suspect is the truth but are afraid to admit. Take as an example the nationalisation of the mines – this was the original intention of the ANC when they came into office but Madiba (bless his soul) backed down as soon as he was threathened with foreign disinvestment. Imagine what it would mean to those old-money-types if they all of a sudden had to share their wealth with the masses. Talk about chickens coming home to roast!

I don’t agree with this you that the “ANC Youth League are spoilt brats”. Because as the members of the ANCYL see our leadership as a future leadership who will be the next leaders who will be representing ANC in government in the next few yours. I think Pieter you are totally wrong. Julius Malema will become the next future President of South Africa in the near future whether u like or not.

. This is what the ANCYL knows about leadership and manners. If Mr. President does not say, do anything about this empty can then i will continue not to sing-a-long to his meaningless slogans. You know which one that is Mr. President.

Agreed that we should ignore them.

But we are the guilty parties because we DON’T ignore them, we fuel the fire by adding commennts to blogs and by following the media slavishly.

My small solution -

As of now I will not open any stories in any online news services about Malema. I will also not subscribe to any mainstream media or watch eTV until they stop giving him the coverage that he craves.

A small protest, but if we all stopped subscribing to the sources of the media frenzy then the media would lose impact.

Let’s start a movement to wear T-Shirts that simply say

‘IGNORE THEM’
