this is15 years into a democratic state ,one founded on amongst other values non racism. Ironically racisms is a probl;em in SA. I am tired of hearing the excuse that Sa is still a young democracy and it is still early days to criticise. I do not see any compelling reasons to withdraw charges. I do not see how racial reconcilitaion will be achievd by a mere drop of charges. those students should be prosecuted and if found guilty they should serve thier sentence finish and klaar. This kind of acts cannot always go unpanished. in fact if we talk reconciliation the very step is to punish those who dowrong .seat on the negotiation table and say thsi is what we have done this far to achieve our goal of reconciliation. I salute the students of UFSD and the bloemfontein communuty for the prptest outside the court yesterday.
