Jimmy Dludlu has been a favorite of mine since I saw him at the Cape Town Jazz Festival in January 1999 during a visit with my American students. The day before I watched him in action, it is Hugh Masekela who introduced him to me and spoke of him in the most glowing terms. The compliments of the great Jazz veteran about the newcomer were far from being gratuitous. Truly, Jimmy has magic in his fingers! Keep up the good work, Brother, and I am still hoping for a chance to see you perform in the Midwest United States.
