Democratic Alliance leader, Helen Zille, was sworn in as premier of the Western Cape today. Her election was challenged as African National Congress’s Western Cape chairman, Mcebisi Skwatsha, said the ruling party preferred former premier Lynne Brown as premier of the province. Zandile Mbabela from The Times Online spoke The Times reporter present at the ceremony, Yazeed Kamaldien, who took us through the swearing in ceremony.
