Judge Seun Moshidi has found the three men accused of killing reggae musician, Lucky Dube guilty of murder in the Johannesburg High Court. The musician’s son, Thokozani Dube speaks to The Times Online about the verdict and the failed escape by two of the three murderers.

The world lost a powerful reggae legend.Oh Lucky, you didn’t deserve to die all of a sudden.I loved you very much. I was your fan since primary school.Your music touches me deeply inside my heart.I dance to your beautiful reggae tunes every time I listen to them. Your big hits like The Way It Is, House Of Exile, Romeo and Juliet, Prisoner and Put A Little Love, are big joy to me when i listen to them.Those senseless idiots who killed you should be hanged to death. Shame on them.
I wanted to fly to South Africa to meet you and see you perform live. But when I heard that some foolish killers had killed you, I cried so much.Lucky Dube, I loved you and took you as my blood brother.May your spirit haunt those idiots who killed you.Your concert in South Africa in 1993 was very good. RIP Mr Lucky Dube, your music and legacy lives within your fans forever.
